The most difficult time in a young girl’s life might just be high school, grades nine through twelve. Cliques create unhealthy competitions and tremendous insecurities for many girls. These formative years are crucial in the development of confidence, self image, and self esteem for a young woman.
always is going to start a movement. This will not be just another clique. We’re going to identify girls needing support and ones feeling a bit left out or isolated from the crowd and bring them into a welcoming and healthy environment of friendship, support, understanding, and strength. Maybe she sits alone in the lunch room or runs the risk of slipping into the wrong crowd. We will befriend her by bringing her to a place where she can open up, be herself, find acceptance and blossom into the true human being that she has the potential to be.
We’re never judgmental. We’re caring, encouraging and supportive bringing girls together thus empowering them, helping them to find their true selves.
THE SISTERS OF THE RING movement will start by identifying four brand ambassadors, one from each grade within each high school. We’ll contact principals, counselors, and teachers in order to target the girls best fitting the LIVE LIKE A GIRL always AMBASSADOR profile. These girls are observed with admiration, respected by all and never pretentious.
SISTERS OF THE RING AMBASSADOR PROFILE. The girl we are looking for is someone who is a natural leader, someone people look up to even though she might not be aware of it. She is responsible for herself and protective of others. She is fiercely loyal to her close friends, and is often willing to go out of her way to help others. She is empathitic yet at the same time heroic.
She does not gossip, is not judgmental, but rather supportive and understanding. As a result, other girls confide in her trusting her with their deepest and most intimate secrets.
Our girl is aspirational and has big dreams for herself, but her values are never materialistic in nature. Usually she marches to the beat of her own drum and doesn’t necessarily follow trend or whimsical fashion . . .
. . . nor the “must haves” of others. She rather prefers rich experiences and quality time spent with those she cares about. She has morals and values that she won’t compromise just to fit into the group.
So she may not be the most popular girl in the school. Nevertheless, she’s definitely someone all girls respect and value. She has an appetite for life and is adventurous, being naturally curious about the world around her. She has high emotional intelligence, she’s wellrounded, open-minded, and has a vast variety of interests.
She may not be heavily involved in school activities, but she’s definitely interested in changing her environment, her community, and the making the world a better place.
Once selected, the ambassador for each grade may select up to three more girls within her grade to help start the movement. The ambassdors begin with simple things that are human and basic such as inviting a lonely girl to sit with them for lunch at their table. Sit with them at the pep rally or in study hall. Maybe invite them to attend the game or go to the dance together. And this can ultimately ladder up to joint invitations for university campus visits together.
As encouragement for the ambassadors and the girls to spend more time together there are other benefits such as discounts at stores like H&M, FOREVER 21, ZARA, and etc. when they go shopping together. always will also sponsor pool parties, spa days, dance classes, yoga classes, discount cinema tickets, even hair salon days, and other mutually engaging inclusive exploits together.
The more you do for one another the more you benefit as well. And as every cool society has a symbol, so does the SISTERS OF THE RING - the ring of strength among women. This ring is the sign of doing great things for others, your sisters. Tearing down walls of silence, isolation, and ignorance supporting other girls in need.
CONCLUSION: The Sisters Of The Ring is a collective of young women across countries free of judgment, yet full of understanding, support, care, concern, and strong in the healthiest qualities of being women united as one.
SISTERS OF THE RING. The symbol that “A girl is never alone.“
